Finding Your Center After a Trigger

When something stirs up a strong reaction, it can be hard to stay present. You might feel tense, disconnected, or overwhelmed without knowing why.


If that happens, pause for a moment. Take a few slow breaths. Remind yourself that you are safe right now and that it is okay to feel what you are feeling. 


These strong emotions often come from something in your past, not the person or situation in front of you. Try to name what you are feeling, and give yourself the grace and the space to move through it.
